Got a Question? Ask a Biologist!

In case you haven't yet heard the news, the UK-based "Ask a Biologist" web site has just undergone a major redesign. A whole host of bio-type scientists from around the world, including many paleontologists, are available to field your every question (within reason, of course - they can't do your homework for you!). Congratulations to all of the folks behind AAB - great work! As for the rest of you - go ask a biologist!

Hone-ing Peer Review

With apologies for the exceptionally bad pun, Dave Hone of Archosaur Musings fame has just posted a nice entry on how to review a paper. He fills in some gaps in my coverage, emphasizes some different areas, and provides an all-around good introduction to the topic. Definitely worth reading!
